Peaches on the grill?  Yes, yes.  Bobby Flay said so!  I am a bit obsessed with peaches right now and you should all be, too.  If I had to live on a deserted island, I would pray for sunscreen, my kindle with an unlimited battery charge and a freaking peach tree!  Oh, and my dog.  Duh.

Harris Teeter had some beautiful peaches over the weekend, so I picked up a plenty.  I’ve been wanting to try some on the grill and Sunday was the perfect day for it.  Here’s the skinny:

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high
  2. After washing, slice it in half and remove the pit
  3. Brush with canola oil
  4. Grill flesh side down for about 10 minutes
  5. Carefully remove from the grill and drizzle with a bit of melted butter, balsamic vinegar and maple syrup

Eat alone or serve with vanilla ice cream (I used a custard)!  Give it a try and let me know what you think.
