A Girl and Her Grill: Peaches, Because Duh!
Peaches on the grill? Yes, yes. Bobby Flay said so! I am a bit obsessed with peaches right now and you should all be, too. If I had to live on a deserted island, I would pray for sunscreen, my kindle with an unlimited battery charge and a freaking peach tree! Oh, and my dog. Duh.
Harris Teeter had some beautiful peaches over the weekend, so I picked up a plenty. I’ve been wanting to try some on the grill and Sunday was the perfect day for it. Here’s the skinny:
- Preheat grill to medium-high
- After washing, slice it in half and remove the pit
- Brush with canola oil
- Grill flesh side down for about 10 minutes
- Carefully remove from the grill and drizzle with a bit of melted butter, balsamic vinegar and maple syrup
Eat alone or serve with vanilla ice cream (I used a custard)! Give it a try and let me know what you think.
